Joel's review

I first discovered Ani just by chance when a girlfiend of mine bought me "living in clip" for my birthday in August of '98. The rest is history.

The Brewery District show was so small and intimate. No one had a bad seat there. It's actually a parking lot with bleachers and all sorts of temporary facilities. I wish I had a pen with me at the show. I knew almost all the tunes except one or two. She opened with Virtue and it wasn't long before she called Maceo out for Shameless. A straight ahead new arrangement of 32 flavors. Kind of choppy but funky all the same. (thus the F-word theme) Angry Anymore.....a solo Both Hands....Anticipate...I wish I had them all down in order.

Not since I discovered Bob Dylan have I experienced so many changes. Ani's music has changed my life...it's made me look at myself differently, and looked at acoustic guitar in a whole new light. I caught the Meadowbrook show the next night. So much bigger ... completely different vibe. Shot some good photos in Columbus.
