I didn't write down the setlist for the MN show...and they're not giving them out anymore. I heard that a venue
security guard sold one for $20, my guess is this is the reason they're not handing them out. Another example of
greedy people ruining things.
But the things that were different from the Ames show are:
She played OUT OF RANGE solo! It was incredible....you forget what an amazing guitarist she is until she's
left on the stage by herself and you hear music that sounds like 4 different people are playing guitar at once.
I could hardly believe it.
This show was the biggest one of the tour, and i'd have to say it
was the quietest crowd I've seen this time around....pretty good for 4350
people.
Another different thing was the appearance of her new song Providence.....it's a great song, I don't know what
else to say about it, but her songs just keep getting more and more poetic.
Speaking of poems...man if she stops doing the poem that I now know is called "know now then",
i'll be so upset.....it's great!
Oh and she played Everest...otherwise it was pretty much the same show as in Ames.
One last thing about Minneapolis....we were in the back floor section, and usually we're in the front....so it
was a totally different experience for us this time, we could see everything, but not as detailed...but the
sound was incredible! and I mean incredible, you could hear her voice echo, all the instruments, even ones that
I realized I didn't like. I hate the melodica that julie plays on Fuel, it's way too loud and screechy. It's so
weird but you don't notice these things from up front.
