Hey, saw Ani and the gang at a small music hall in Osaka this past Sunday. 700 people crammed into a 300 capacity room - $50 tickets - no room to breathe, move, or dance. Crowd sucked ("Sumimasen, please translate her joke.") But I really was happy to see her perform again. Man, does she rock. So, I haven't been in the US for a few years... the last time I saw Ani there was at the Horizontal Boogie Bar in Rochester NY - uncrowded enough to sit on the floor. Is it common now for her to play for large crowds?
